This vase was handmade using the traditional coiling technique. After completing the form, the motifs were carefully hand carved into the surface. Nichrome wire was attached as a decorative element and the piece was finished with silk tassels.
The vase was fired at 1220°C, achieving durability while enhancing the character of the clay and carved details.
Inspired by my Anatolian roots, this piece carries traditional motifs that have been passed down through generations. Each symbol represents different beliefs, stories. Through these motifs, the vase becomes more than a functional object it serves as a connection to history, identity, and tradition.
